I was honored to be delivering the keynote address at the 22nd Annual Neuroscience Zappulla Research Day on Wednesday, June 3, at the Hackensack Meridian Neuroscience Institute, JFK University Medical Center in Edison, NJ.
My lecture: "Treatment of Refractory Migraines — What to Do When 'Nothing Works'." This is the question I hear most often from patients who have tried medication after medication, from neurologists who have exhausted standard protocols, and from families watching someone they love suffer without answers. The truth is, "nothing works" is rarely accurate. It usually means the right approach hasn't been found yet. That's what I discussed with colleagues who are advancing this field.
